Hey guys, welcome to off the list, the TV and movie podcast catching you up on everything you want to watch but haven't had time to. I'm your host Hannah Koch and welcome to this week's episode. Today I'm going to be talking about the chilling Adventures of Sabrina part four with my friend Juliana Carpenetti, coming to us live from eastern Pennsylvania. What's up?

Julianna C 0:23

Nothing much. How are you?

Hannah Koch 0:25

Good. Thank you for trying this out with me. I'm excited. I it's a learning curve. This is my first episode doing like an already established shows season. So that'll be like, kind of like a fun thing to try. Right? We're in this together. So I think we'll just start kind of with the premise of this season, I am under the assumption or acting as if anyone that would watch this episode has seen some of the previous ones. I think it would be very hard to give someone an entire four seasons in one hour or so long podcast. But yeah, no. So this show, actually, this shows there's so much. So the fourth and final installment of the series Sabrina in the gang, they got to deal with the presence of well to Sabrina's because that's how we end. Part Three is that she has messed with the time warp. And now there's two of her coexisting fascist black is back. alive and well.

Julianna C 1:28

And then Blackwood.

Hannah Koch 1:31

Yes, yes, thank you. And then he has brought these things called v Eldridge terrors to town. So some quick just like fast facts. Season Four was released onto Netflix, December 31 2020. I watched it all on January 1 2021. Because I was in quarantine and had nothing better to do. Personally. It's fine. The series has an 81% on Rotten Tomatoes, which I think is like pretty good. I was surprised that it was that high. pleasantly surprised rarely see things above like 70 rare. Yeah. And especially with kind of like a I referred to it as a teenybopper show. I feel like I feel like we're on like the outskirts of like the target audience range. I would agree with that. And like so I was pleasantly surprised. I felt a little validated my choice. Yeah, you like what you like, but sometimes it feels good. The most interesting thing though, was that this was not supposed to be the final season. There was supposed to be a fifth season and Netflix canceled it showrunner Roberto Aggie Aries sakasa I think I'm getting that remotely right checks out to me. He revealed in a tweet that the fifth season was dubbed which war and we'll be coming in comic book form instead of on the show what's also really cool is like that was supposed to be the Riverdale chilling Adventures of Sabrina crossover season that all like hardcore fans have been waiting for the entire time like we get a little bit here and there but that was supposed to be like the real like Archie coming to town kind of season. I feel like that would have just been so much teen drama. And one of the things that Riverdale is just that I feel like you know at least like with the chilling Adventures of Sabrina like everyone had like most people have like power so it kind of makes sense that they're doing all these like grandiose things like in Riverdale like they're just these average like 16 year olds, and like they're going to like just as like big adventures but like they're just kids. Yeah, so Sabrina's a bit more realistic, but I could definitely see all their craziness combining. I feel like they would look weird together. Like I feel like the Riverdale cast. The actors themselves are cast for way younger parts than they are like, yes, Kj APA does not look like a 16 year old in any means. Or as like Kiernan, Kiernan shipka shipka, who plays right out like she looks a little closer. So I think like throwing them all together. Like whatever Sprouse twin is in there is a coal

Julianna C 4:02

Cole.

Yeah, like Cole and I don't know and Harvey like they are such like a young face. Yeah, I don't I don't think I think that would have kind of just thrown off the vibe for me. But would have been he is going to happen in the comic anyway. And of course, there is the potential that it could get picked up. Warner media, like Warner Brothers owns both of those, like they own the Archie brand and CW. So it could go on to HBO Max, which like they also own. So there's that they could come back again, in some form. someday. Anyway, so as I mentioned, we're gonna try something new. We're gonna do like the big events from each episode. Yeah, I'm hoping that anyone who would be here for the content and not my sultry voice would have watched a previous season or do so we don't really go through like this character is this All right. We're gonna try it out. We'll see. We'll see what they say in the comments. If I ever get some I got one follower on Spotify though I thought, right?

I am. I am following on subscribe. I'm ready to go.

Hannah Koch 5:14

That is a real one. Okay, so Episode One, the Eldridge dark. So we start and we get Sabrina. And the initial problem is that she's bored. She feels disconnected from her friends and family. You know, there's no craziness surrounding her. She feels like everyone's moved on. It's like a very like, teen. No, yeah, I think I was relatable, too. Because like, they were kind of like, you know, like, you've been doing all these big things. Like we just straight up can't do that. Yeah. So, you know, and naturally, like, as we'll get to, she tries to find a solution to force them back to me friends. Yes. I love like, like, the humor in it, for me is always like she tries to do like kind of what you say grandiose things, whereas she could have just like, talk to them. So instead of like being like, Hey, guys, like you're all coupled up and like, going on dates and stuff. Like, you know, I'm kind of lonely I feel left out. Instead, she and Salem team up and pretend that there is some bloody mary demon in the school that they all need to come together to banish from the boys bathroom. Yeah, I just thought that was so staged. I mean, like, obviously, it was, but I just, I mean, obviously, we knew like the background story behind it, but what, like, Oh, God.

Julianna C 6:36

Oh my God.

Hannah Koch 6:38

And I liked that they had Roz be able to see through it with her cutting. And there was a nice touch here. Except like she and Sabrina, like, sushi, like, confronts her. And she's like, Sabrina like I saw this weird thing and I was like, Oh, yeah, and then she's like, babe like, just because we're all in different spots doesn't mean we're not friends and then like that was it and it was like nice but like just not fully where I needed to be. Yeah, like this like they kind of like took that whole little mini storyline just halted it in its tracks. Their screen is like okay, now I'm caught now. What do I do? Yeah, there's no consequences for her actions. Especially because like a real terror pops up. So the first Eldridge terror comes there are these things that signal the end of the world they are coming now because father Blackwood at the end of the last season like went into that little egg, like raise them I don't know. He's off his rocker. We do get a check in with them him though. He started a church called pilgrims of the night which their home base is like literally set up across from the diner like Doctor sees and no one ever addresses that. Did you notice I didn't realize that until until you mentioned it I didn't realize that it was I guess like whenever like they really only showed I think they tried to make it look like this dark mysterious place like you know you only know where it is if you're you know if you're in but yeah like it's like having a crime rig right across from like, Town Center. I never thought about that though. That is a possibility. You know anything's possible in this magic world that there is some kind of like like a glamour type thing on the bill. I mean, even if you think about it like Doctor sees thing how what is his like behind like the curtain or behind like something like they do have like, you know, little secret areas? So certainly possible. I wouldn't rule it out. You You may have just solved that for me. Appreciate it. So the first error comes in this episode. It's absolute darkness, which does what it says takes away all the light it's going to drowned Greendale in darkness however we do learn as like each Spellman encounters it Zelda gets like the worst when he comes in and like instantly puts dark thoughts into her. Like it's not just physical. And that was really interesting how they spun it, but ya know, like a metaphorical darkness where like you feel depression, but what's going to stop darkness? A light from within. Cute, so cute, but they need a big light. So Sabrina and Ambrose team up and they go down. Well, they send Sabrina Spellman down to hell to go recruit Sabrina morning star. When Sabrina gets down there she learns that morning star is thriving. Yeah, this dance parties, they're releasing souls as they're bringing new souls and she's gonna get married to Caliban. I really liked having this duality because I just think that it just made a lot of sense. Yeah, you know, like, you know, and I don't think that having to Sabrina's at all hurt the show, if that makes sense. Like No, I think that they were too for not to bring

Unknown Speaker 9:53

up void but voids they had to fill.

Hannah Koch 9:56

So I think having those two didn't work out and plus, like Taliban, like if she did end up with Taliban, like, that's just like they set that up. Yes, instantly. Like, in last season when he showed up. I was like, Why is she fighting this? Like? Yeah, he's hot. He has baggage. Like, he's kind of sneaky. Like, it's totally her type, like,

Unknown Speaker 10:19

Oh, that's funny.

Hannah Koch 10:21

They decide like they're gonna work together the whole crew the fright clubs back together, Nick is helping them. You know, he started messing around with prudence at the end of last season, but he's back with the humans. Like, he's like, Oh, I fought with them before. I like working with them, like total bro. And so they like trap the little miners that are inhabited by the darkness. And then Sabrina and Morningstar go in to where the darkness is oozing out of in the mines. And they work together and get their hell fire and bringing the light was pretty nice, actually. Yeah, it was a very, like, they wrapped up that episode with a nice little bow pretty well, where it's like the other ones float together more. I agree. I will know that pretty well wrapped up. The only only thing the only issue I had is when they send Morningstar in by herself first, like, into the darkness, and they're like, go into those darkness. Like, don't let the scary thoughts overpower you. And then if something goes wrong, like we'll send the other one in, like they're recruited, like both of them to work together to like, like, why wouldn't you just like double, like, ensure that you have enough? You know what I mean? I mean, I guess you wouldn't want them both to like, you know, fall under. That's the only thing I can think of. But yeah, you know, I think, you know, it's the classic trope and like TV and movies when it's like, Why go alone, always go on a group, you know, but it's really emphasize that power of like, togetherness in the end when they work together and they defeat them. And then they learned that they can use Sabrina's little dollhouse magic place to like meet up in secret. That was really cute. Yeah. Did you like the the scene? where she's dancing? It is the song dancing with myself. And they're like dancing together.

Unknown Speaker 12:08

Yeah. No, yeah, that

Hannah Koch 12:09

was that was funny. It was funny. It just felt like you know, to Team best friends you know? Yeah. And like, who knows you better than yourself, right? So Episode Two speaking of love, that was like very that was like a very nice connection. Um, Hilda and doxie short engagement. They're getting married now.

Unknown Speaker 12:27

If you love though,

Hannah Koch 12:28

what's gonna happen? They're like insane connection. So it is their wedding. Nick and Melvin are supposed to finally read him of that Incubus. And they're successful in getting rid of the Incubus but unsuccessful at trapping it and it goes into Theo who then becomes like a little sex demon. He's like ready to get added with his boyfriend. What's his name?

Unknown Speaker 12:49

Although is his name?

Hannah Koch 12:51

I have it in here somewhere. Robin? Robin Yeah, when that's like important for later, the big thing though. Spelman learns that morning star she's going to go marry Taliban at the end of the week. And then Spelman and Lilith agree that this is a terrible idea. First, Lilith, Lilith doesn't like it because she thinks a grandson will threaten her sons because she's pregnant her sons claimed at the throne. But Calvin is made of clay. So I'm not really sure how like reproduction works.

Unknown Speaker 13:21

There.

Hannah Koch 13:23

Like, I feel like, you know, they can do some spell to make that happen. Like, like they can definitely reproduce. Someone just thinks he's sneaky and Morningstar is too young to marry. She's things like 16, almost 17 is a lot more young to get married. I guess we already you know, Queen of hell. Nope, I agree. But Spelman, she pretends to be Morningstar, she brings Caliban to the academy and she's like, Listen, I follow Hector now like my coven. I need you to cut off your balls as a sacrifice because she is like a goddess. And he's like, Yeah, no, but again, like he's quiet. But like, I just really didn't like how she went behind her back and everything like that, like that just wasn't, just wasn't cool. Not for your best friend. You can see it as like, oh, like, I'm looking out for my friend. But at the same time, though, like, maybe run it maybe maybe discussion would be a good thing first. It was the same thing with her and her friends, you know, like maybe a discussion instead of a big, you know, again, grandiose gesture, but I think that is a running line throughout the entire series is like a discussion.

Unknown Speaker 14:35

Yeah.

Hannah Koch 14:38

In the end, oh, Caliban does it and he shows up to the real Sabrina Morningstar with those like little balls in the box. And he's like, Oh, I didn't she's like, something's not right. And then what did she do? She she approaches other Sabrina Spellman. And she's like, Hey, you did this. That was nice of you to care, but I'm still married. Here's an invitation to my wedding. No real consequence. But in true Sabrina fashion, though, like, she's still like, I'm still gonna do what I want to do. That's true. That's how you know that like. She might be Sabrina Morningstar, but she is Sabrina. They are literally one in the same. The other big thing again, is the wedding, which ties into the eldritch terror that comes which is the uninvited his deal is that he was like walking around when humans got fire and he wanted to come to the fire and the human said, No, you're scary. And then he walked around the world all sad until the other Eldridge terrorists invited him to the table. And now anyone that doesn't invite him in, he rips out their heart for being heartless. Cool. Luckily, like the gang like is prepared, they figure out he's on the loose like Roz, like, meets him and her counting like, tells her to invite him in. They talked to some dead bodies that like saw him they use some magic to like, get a picture of his face. And then they put Nick and Sabrina on door duty at the wedding. And they say if anyone weird shows up, let them in. What does Nick do? rejects the guy. I was gonna say like, during that time, like, of course, like you said, they knew what like he supposedly looked like that the same kinda like if you have like the idea that someone will be showing up who isn't supposed to be there. Let them like when in doubt, like worst case, is he's gonna take one extra seat, you know, but for the sake of plot, they must not invite him in and he shows up to the reception later, after Sabrina gives like the worst speech she's like trash with all the other like, like witches that are single with horses, like the like rot, which and the water which are all like the like ones from the woods and stuff. And so she's like, this is me, this is what I'm going to be and so she like shits on everything. And then the uninvited shows up ready to kill everyone. And Sabrina is able to save the day by pulling out that invite to the other wedding in hell and invites him to be her guest. I just didn't think that was going to work. Like I was like, I feel like I mean, obviously like I knew his story had to go on like it wasn't going to end there. But still, I was like, kidding me. Like, she's just extending the punishment. He wants to like, you know, give He's like, Alright, I'll give you one more day, you know, but they did tie it up nicely though. Bringing back in the Incubus, having it leave Theo and go into the uninvited? I mean, to me, that was just like that, like the Incubus storyline, which is over so quickly. Yeah, no, it was like, oh, NASSCOM is good as far as like, you know, having it out of the way for the rest of the time. But still, it was like, oh, as done now. swallow, swallow, convenient, convenient wrap up. Yeah. So Sabrina takes them to the wedding and she has a grand idea to also get married. So now it's both Sabrina is getting married. Sabrina Morningstar and Caliban and Spellman and the uninvited cute. Now of course, Lucifer is aware that there are two Sabrina's because he didn't know most people don't know. So now, this might be a problem. I almost puked though, when Sabrina had to kiss the uninvited I was like, Oh, that was really gross, then of course, they're able to wrap, wrap it up by trapping the uninvited in the magical dollhouse that they had been using to meet in and I actually kind of felt bad for him. But it was definitely like, you know, like, you knew it had to be done and you had it you know, like he said, like, and that because it would be way more harm than good. But still, like you could tell that like at least the uninvited like, thing was that he just wanted a friend you know? Now he got like a live and then his wife was like, nope, you're trapped in this box.

Unknown Speaker 18:59

so uncomfortable.

Hannah Koch 19:01

Right or like hurt my heart and I was like, I feel bad for him. So I don't know. I don't know how I wouldn't done that better. Anyway, now everyone knows there's two Sabrina's they're mad about it. And they banished Sabrina Spellman from hell. They're like, you can't come back here. We got to keep you two apart. Cool. Episode Three. Mambo Marie realizes Roz is a not a cunning woman, but a witch whose powers have been repressed because her family back in the day when people were witch hunting didn't want to be caught. So they were like, we're just going to be psychics, not witches. Turns out roses a witch with powers and psychic abilities and so is prudence to kind of I guess, and they're all three gonna work together to like, be watchers of the universe for when the eldritch terrorists come. Yeah, that was my understanding. It was just, you know, of course, like we all know she had powers but then when they're like, Oh, you actually wish to like, I feel like this could have been great material earlier. Right. Like there's you know, brought this out like, I see Some earlier but yeah, nothing's neat. And now they're like the new three weird sisters which was cute for prudence because I know she like misses her sister. Right, right. Oh, Harvey didn't take it well, though I forget if you find that on that episode or the next one, but he didn't take it. Well, he like blames her for being a witch. And she's like, Is it my choice? Exactly. Yeah. She's like, Yeah, I was like, yeah, let me be a witch. Alright, so the Eldridge terror is the weird, and it plays mind games makes things seem a little weird. They're they're really creative with this one. Um, he is a little squid. Octopus guy. Yeah, I think you said it best. Like it was just weird. Like, not all of it totally made sense to me. But I think you can get away with it in this episode, because it is like, the weird. Yeah, I got very confused with Sabrina's vile, like dream sequence that was in the lab at school. So it wasn't a dream. She tries to date a swimmer. Conveniently he's new. Yeah, that was just really tossed in there. Really just I feel like just to highlight that her body was like transforming into a squid because she gets like, the tongue that's like, got the suction cups and like metal, sharp stuff. Also, Mrs. wardwell, has joined Father blackwoods new church, and she's like, the brains of the operation here. For the weird, she's like, oh, like, if he wants to get to Sabrina, he needs a Trojan horse. I was so surprised that Miss wardwell crossed over, it just seemed very easy, like too easy. You know, like, she's just, you know, before was so like, devoutly, you know, Christian, or Catholic or Christian? Was it Catholicism is a form of Christianity. Regardless. Yeah, you know, she's just so like, in her ways, and everything like so like conservative, a lot of everything. And then literally just someone knock on the door, like, hey, got a new church for you. And she just, she just stared it. I guess after all of that. Missed time for when Lilith was in her body really messes with the person's mind. Just really hurts your values when you have, you know, three months of your life. Just saying, when that happens. Yeah, when that happens, you know, you've been there. Let's see. Oh, so the weird, you know, gets into Sabrina. They figure it out when she like starts transforming physically a little bit. ambros learns that it's in her and so they decide that what we'll get rid of it, but if the host is inhospitable, so what does a squid need? It needs water. Sabrina's you know human bodies like 70% water, so they're going to use the water which to just drain her. Nick is there ready to help? homeboy is not not in love with her anymore, but he's still devoted to making sure she's okay. Yeah, he he just like, have you felt really came out there? Yeah, that was the start. Like, I was okay with. I'm not mad, but ya know, so they start draining her out. It comes out. And they're like, Alright, cool. Turns out not cool. Sabrina has now manifested with a weird in her mind. Still, like metaphysically there. So they're like, how do we make the mind inhospitable, we got to run it. So they take the raw, which to like, literally rot her mind. And we get that cute little 16 going on. 17 duet, but Sabrina?

Unknown Speaker 23:27

Yeah, yeah,

Hannah Koch 23:30

that was her choice of grounding song was 16 going on 17 from the sound of music. I think it also brings you back to reality that like these characters are supposed to be like 16 going on 17 I agree. And it also I feel like was a good reminder like timeline wise that like the entire thing like this has only been a year. Like we are coming up on one year of their time. Like it has been too for us, but like it's actually only been one for them. In the world of chilling Adventures of Sabrina around so I agree. While it was goofy like it actually did play some important reminders. Last thing from that episode. Turns out Caliban is a snake. He wants to take the crown. So while morning star and daddy devil Lucifer are touring hell, he and those kings tried to kill this baby, but she makes it to Zelda who is like a midwife. She makes it to her in time, and all of the women in the coven like join around her and take her pain and deliver that baby. That was like empowerment pen remind me The Handmaid's Tale when they give birth during that if you've ever seen that on Hulu, yeah, yeah. I think like the biggest part was I think it was just really cool to see like this women women, you know, a Hopi man. Yeah, I thought that was nice. I thought that was a nice thing to see where like, you know, which face Zelda is like priorities are you know, she's just like I'm here to like help other women you know, regardless of who You know where you're from? Who your what what are you praying to what? You know, I'm saying having, which is a big difference from like the first season when Yeah, Zelda was so strict with the Church of the night who was like repressive to women like she has, in terms of like growth. I feel like come the furthest. I would agree. That was Episode Three. Episode Four, the imp of the perverse This was my least favorite episode. personally. I wish he would have gotten a bit more on. Yeah, so like, you know, as you know, kind of starts with like that salesman with like that, like magic suitcase. But I wish we kind of heard a bit more about him where he was from where his items were from, what his deal was, yeah. He just kind of popped in and like, you know, it's not like it wasn't not like explained, but like, it made sense in the story. Like, it's not like there were any gaps. But still, it was just out of nowhere. Especially cuz he didn't come he shows up at at the pilgrims of the night. With fascists to sell him trinkets, but not to sell him. The MP says the imp of the perverse is not for sale and fascist like kind of just takes it and tells him to leave. And then he's like you stole it was like a weird dynamic. So it was weird for him to be there without that intention when like this series is that each of them are coming. But he gets it. And he wishes for a reality where he is supreme ruler of Greendale and always has been in a boom, there it is, except Roz and Sabrina, since they've come contact with other Eldridge terrors, like they are still aware of like, what the reality was. I liked how they made that, you know, the turning point until like, where they realized that they were the ones that had to like, stop it. Because before, you know, I was kind of like, what if they're all just like under this spell? How are they going to figure this out? So I kind of like how those two were the ones that knew the only reason I feel like I didn't like it was that like, this is a common alternate reality storyline, where like, someone wishes that something was different than they're thrown to the future, and they can't remember their past life. And turns out the future like wasn't as good as it used to be like, this is a little different, obviously, because they're thrown, like, into fascist blackwoods future. But it's still like, we got to wake everyone up and make a resistance, and then we're gonna overthrow them kind of thing and like, go back to normal. So it's, like, really easy to explain, because there we go. Wrapped up. Like it was, like, I still feel like they went with the trope well, and they were able to deal with like, even like some issues with the characters like themselves, or having like, rosin Harvey, like, we get a lot of their relationship here. And like, who Harvey is as a person with like, the magic because like, obviously, he is like, the little Hitler Youth guy in this scenario is so uncomfortable. But when they go to like execute the, which is he stands up and like stops the execution or like, so it shows like, deep in his heart, like he loves his friends, no matter like who they are, like, even in this alternate reality, which means like real Harvey does, too. So I feel like that was like the biggest kind of takeaway from that one. And like, oh, Sabrina, like still kind of loving Nick. Biggest other biggest thing was they were able to capture Blackwood.

Unknown Speaker 28:19

Right,

Hannah Koch 28:20

right, right, right. prudence chops off his head, separates him from his body. He can't die because he has that mark of Cain, which means it can be healed, but he can be physically assaulted. And cut. Yes. So he's kind of just like stuck in that. In mortal. You. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 28:38

suffering.

Hannah Koch 28:39

Yeah, so that was that was good development. So we can Episode Five, which the title is, I think French Do you Ex Machina is definitely French. I don't know. So the big thing Well, we start to see of course a lot of teen hormones and anx prudence is like torturing Blackwood trying to get information Nick uses magic to become a student at Baxter high so he can be with Sabrina more either in the last episode or this episode is when he says they are endgame. No, I'm pretty sure that was at the end of last episode. I remember like ended like on kind of like the cliffhanger of like, are they gonna get back together like oh my god. Yes. Well, Nick is like yes, it's weird is like we need to wait and see. But he's like we are endgame. I mean, like they they are are they are endgame for him. I love that. He's like, Oh, yeah, I like use my powers. I'm like Captain or the wrestling team. Boy just comes like full. But it was so funny how they kulish so like, bro he they just like the human race and chemical horsey jacket.

Unknown Speaker 29:47

jacket on

Hannah Koch 29:48

as a big wrestling fan. I'm glad he went with that. Especially because he is like more stocky in short like a wrestler player. So they did a really good job storyline. That way for mama new detail that one very good choice. Oh, Theo and Robin hit rough waters when Theo meets that other hobgoblin named moth. And Martha's, like Robin needs to come with the rest of the hobgoblins were leaving. And Theo's, like, oh, and Robin's, like I want to say and then feel, of course gonna make the decision for him is like, we're breaking up to do what Theo thinks is best for Robin, because you can discussion Why did we do that? You can definitely sympathize with you in that situation. Because, you know, you never want to be, you know, someone that's holding someone back from something. But at the same again, like you said, Yeah, but I agree. Like, it would be hard to live with the fear of resentment later on growing, like separating Robin from his kind him mosses who he would potentially, like, lose his powers, like, you know, like, I wouldn't want to live with that burden, either. Because, you know, definitely if, if you talk to Robin Robin would be like, Oh, no, like, you know, I'm here. I wouldn't be here. But, you know, regardless of which option he would choose, like to stay with him or not, he loses something. Yeah. And who knows, like what the future holds? Such as, like, pass it off, or you're not there? No, no, it was it was well intentioned. The Big Magic Eldridge terror issue is actually that Helen Earth are combining because of the existence of two Sabrina's there are some consequences to actions. Yeah. Yeah, that was interesting. So you know, in a couple episodes earlier, like we mentioned how they said like, Alright, Sabrina, stop seeing each other. And I just thought, like, ooh, now what, what I guess now we'll see the consequences that they're like, Oh, it's not working. So this angel comes down from heaven. And she's all into like stats. And she's like the probability of such and such working, we have a higher chance of it working if we either kill one of you or merge you both back together. And so the sopranos are like, we don't want to just like one of us just die. So they're gonna go for the merge. But then they want you know, sick while they would have liked the day to like, have their final day and the angels like, you have six hours. So morning starts, you just hang out with the fright club, I suppose. tender. Yeah. Then she hadn't you know, she'd been in hell. So it shows that like, she's still Sabrina. Yes. Like, even though we don't see her as much. And she's, like, considered like a separate entity like Morningstar. It is Sabrina. And up until that one point in the timeline was the same Sabrina as the one we currently are with. She's just like, it's like a lot to wrap my head around. And then Spelman has sex with neck. That's what she uses her six hours to get it on. back. Yeah, yeah. Okay, then they go to merge. And they stopped when they learned that there is a third reality hurtling towards them. The angels like no. And so she tries to like kill one and then everyone else kills the angel, which like, definitely is not going to make God very happy. But we don't really get to that. Maybe that would have been a fifth season thing. Maybe that's the War of the witches. I don't know. me. Never. No, no. Yeah, I thought the angel being a little deceptive was just kind of sauce. But it ended just as soon as it started. So yes, yes, we handled that quickly. And they decided that they need to send a Sabrina into this new reality, and how they're going to do it. Rock Paper, scissors, shoot, Morningstar loses. And she is sent through a magic mirror into the new reality where we see Beth Broderick and Carolyn Rayo, who are the original Auntie's in the 90s sitcom. I love that. That was like, like, in that seat. Like, I just slept like that scene specifically. Like she goes through and she's part I think I'm insane. Because like, I remember, right before she went, they asked, What's his face, Ambrose? What would be very similar? It's like, okay, and he goes, and then when those two came out, like, you know, I instantly recognize them. And then once they said something, there was like a laughters crack. I was like, Oh, my gosh, this is perfect. Like, this is like such a great callback. I didn't really know where they were going to take it. But just in that little scene, I thought that was so good. That was so funny. I thought that was gonna be the end. person's gonna be there. And then it was Yeah, she's in this new reality where she's living. The shows Sabrina the Teenage Witch, like she's in what that world was, which I was fine with. I thought like, you know, that's funny.

Like, I'm like, oh, they're addressing it that they're like a remake of a show like, oh, and the last thing for this one. I saved the most dramatic for last. Back to Lilith who is still at the academy hanging out. Lucifer comes to get his baby. And she serves it to him is dinner. I don't know my take on that. Because Yeah, I don't know what else she could have done cuz she loses either way in that situation. You know, I just I don't know. I don't know how you could kill your child and then eat it. Me she really a different breed so yes okay that is true and it was also like a form of payback considering Lucifer had Lilith eat her lover, also named Adam. So yep, nope, that was a weird ending. Six. We have the returned which is the dead or back they have returned. This episode is the most fun for me. We got like the music breaks with the battle of the bands, which is also like a Riverdale thing. They like the Heather's as a play for one of the episodes one time but alright, the dead returned. We get Lazarus, the resurrected man whose character from the Bible he like brings them. The thing is, though, that the dead don't really know they're dead. So you like like asleep? Walker. You can't wake them. Sabrina's dad comes back and obviously Sabrina wakes him and it goes awry. drastic killer. Bad. That was so sad, though. That was really sad. even tell that, you know, when she saw him like, you know, she well knew that you weren't supposed to mess with she knew what the eldercare was worth. So she knew she has shouldn't mess with it. But like you could tell that she just so badly hoped that he could see through it, you know, yeah, that she just wanted that time with her dad that she never got, like this great man that everyone speaks up and all these great things and had all these big plans. And then she had the emotional scene like after, like Zelda and Hilda came in and like calm down her dad down and she was just kind of like, you know, I guess I just needed to live with the fact that he's not my dad, you know? Or like just, you know, I thought it was kind of sad, but they definitely went quickly through those scenes because, you know, it wasn't a big plot point. Because the big thing they have to go through his satanic panic, which is this metal band that Harvey's dad used to be in high school they sold their souls to say in for fame and fortune at the low price of one virgin sacrifice. They chose the homecoming queen Peggy Lou, and then Mr. kinkel kind of sold them out to Peggy Lou's dad who then killed the band by lighting them on fire. So they are come back for revenge. And our guys the fright club with their band are gonna battle of the bands to the death. These guys it was fun. I think that Riverdale I think a lot of stuff that they do when they do it on Riverdale, the same exact plot story it's just totally extreme and seems like I don't know where but when they do on this show, it seems a little more plausible just because of like the magic precedent of it all. Right, but I also think it's just so funny how again, like these are supposed to be like high school kids like 16 1718 and they were just like doing this like this big Foreman's were like revealing clothing and just like doing this thing and I'm like, I

I wouldn't be doing that

when I was 16 but I really loved like get Robin to come back and do the Time Warp. So Sabrina all worried that like the humans can't handle stuff for themselves, she makes her own band with the other witches and they do sweet child of mine. I enjoyed all of those Honestly, I don't know if I have a favorite but I just think that they were all just equally theatrical in my mind and I thought it was fun this little break and just like a highlight of like the magic aspect. And nicely Peggy loose shows up in burned satanic panic. So we were like definitely gone with those guys. They like give her Hellfire so she can just like banish them. It reminded me very much of Carrie. Mambo Marie during all of this has been playing Lazarus in a game that's like chess. net for some Yes, she's about to lose. which would allow Lazarus to keep the dead on earth when Lilith comes in because baby Adams laughter has been like terrorizing her. And she begs Lazarus to like, bring Adam back and he's like, Listen, there's no body so I can't and she had had Caliban bring her this like knife that could kill Immortals to kill herself but at hearing Lazarus say that he can't bring Adam back. she kills Lazarus. Which, I like that I like that ending. Let's Mambo Marie when by default, so I'm not mad about that was like I didn't see that coming, but I thought that that made sense. I think it flowed well. Yeah, I don't think it felt forced. So I like that what I didn't see coming was that Mambo Maria is actually a Haitian spirits of the dead objectively, no one saw that coming out. No, I don't 100% see, like, why they would want to get rid of her like as a character like as why it was necessarily needed. And the fact that she did you know, turn into that like, like guy. Yeah, maybe the fact that she gave soda, her dog back. Maybe that was kind of like, I hope this fills, you know, kind of the hole that I'm leaving in your heart getting the $1 back was cute. But ya know, in Zelda like gets that box, which I feel like maybe that was an important thing for season five, because some things that I've read online was that season four was almost done or already done. And when the show was canceled and like, they were able to literally scramble, yes, or that Sabrina was actually supposed to die in season four, and somehow come back in season five. So maybe it would have been with that box that Zelda could have used her connection with the Haitian spirits formerly known as Mambo Marie, and bring Sabrina back to help them in some way. That's that's that show now with two episodes left, Episode Seven, the endless we get back to Sabrina Morningstar and the alternate universe. Turns out they weren't done with it. It is supposed to be an alternate universe that very much. I mean, obviously, it didn't flow with the rest of it, because I wasn't supposed to. But I was just like, the heck is going
